Welcome to the website of our local Historical Society (Heemkundekring) “De Heerlijkheid Oirschot”. Historic al Society “De Heerlijkheid Oirschot” was founded on the 21st of October, 1951 and is a member of the coordinating provincial organisation Brabants Heem. Heemkundekring “De Heerlijkheid Oirschot” is a flourishing club with about 150 members. The aims of the club have been described and laid down in the club charter of 1989. Heemkundekring “De Heerlijkheid Oirschot” has a number of project groups, owns a well-filled archive and organises many activities such as excursions to places and objects of interest both national and abroad, lectures, exhibitions and meetings. We are also in the process of creating a canon' (a list of historical highlights) of Oirschot and Spoordonk and are represented in many local and regional interest groups.
Oirschot is a magnificent Kempen village boasting a rich history and a well-preserved historic village centre. For many lovers of local history, Oirschot is a true source of inspiration. Much study and research has been done and more will follow.  Should you wish to contact us, our address is:
